Sorry that I haven’t posted in so long! I haven’t been paying as much attention to fandom as I should be, so today, I went soompi browsing. In case any of you don’t have time to look through multiple groups threads, I’ll share with you some of my finds.
Super Junior – Well, I didn’t actually find this out from Soompi, but THIRD ALBUM! Aren’t you excited?! In case you haven’t seen the MV teaser yet for Sorry, Sorry, you can watch it here. The more I listen to it, the better it sounds. Love it. And apparently their new concept is “WE’RE FREAKIN’ HOT,” which I also love. Full mp3 should be out by tomorrow night. *squees* Now, I’m really excited for the song, of course, but I think that the thing that most people are excited about is the fact that YAY, SUPER JUNIOR IS BAAAACK! I’ve missed them. I’ve missed interviews with them. I’ve missed them singing. I’ve missed them dancing. I’ve missed the HanChul, although it seems that the SiChul pairing is getting the most coverage right now. (I’m still a diehard SiHan fan though. <3 And KangTeuk, of course, but that’s practically canon.) I’ve missed Super Junior! It’ll be so nice to see them all on one stage again! (That is, if they get all 13 of them to not have visa issues, illnesses, or other committments on the same night…which could be a problem. From looking at the soompi schedule though, it doesn’t look like their doing Saturday or Sunday music shows…which I assume is due to Hankyung and his visa. I could be wrong though, I haven’t heard about that for awhile. *shrugs*)
Epik High – US CONCERTS? POSSIBLY IN NYC?!? I had no idea. The NYC thing is not confirmed, but according to soompi, it’s a possibility. You better believe I’ll find a way to NYC (just like the other bazillion Epik High fans on the East Coast) if they have a concert there. Ooo, now I’m excited. In the meantime, you should all go out and buy Tablo’s book, Pieces of You. It was an interesting read, especially if you’re familiar with Tablo and Epik High’s music, I think.
Hyori – She was in the US for a few days (aaaahhh) but she’s back in Korea. She was also named the 4th most powerful celebrity by Forbes Korea. (Credit and more info here.) Yay! I don’t trust it though, since DBSK’s only number 11. With the largest and one of the craziest fanbases in the world that would do anything DBSK asked, no matter how ridiculous, I’d hardly say that DBSK isn’t as powerful as some of the other people on the list.
Boys Over Flowers – I didn’t find this on Soompi, but I just happened to see it while on allkpop.com for the Forbes Korea thing: the girl who plays Sunny, one of the three girls who torture Jandi while fangirling over F4, Jang Ja Yun, committed suicide today. :O :O :O :O I’m shocked. I’m sad. I’m…I don’t even know. This is terrible. R.I.P., Jang Ja Yun. <3
Allkpop.com article can be found here.
SHINee and 2PM – Also not from Soompi, but the Soompi threads reminded me…go watch episode 14 of Idol Army or Idol Show or whatever it’s called. It’s amazing. Don’t know if there are subs or not yet for the full show, but the unsubbed part 1 is here. It’s so fanservice-filled; I love it. I haven’t watched the whole thing yet, but it has actually convinced me that Minho and Khun are the perfect couple, despite my jealousy. XD (I <3 Khun.) Really, if you love either group and you enjoy embarassed boys being forced to pretend that they’re in love with each other, you’ll find this to be amazing.
Davichi – Finally watched one of their comeback stages earlier today. Ahhh, amazing songs. 8282? Love it. The other one that they sang but I forget it’s name because it was in Korean? Also love it. Their voices are amazing, and I loved watching them dance a little bit to 8282. Check out the soompi thread for pretty pictures of these two pretty girls.
DBSK – Can’t wait for promotional tour thing. DBSK split up in Japan amuses me. I’m looking forward to some JaeHo love (pleease) and MinSu bickering, especially in Hiroshima because they’ll be all alone there together. Or YooSu love, but that might not happen with all of the MinSu bickering.
BoA – I’m looking forward to her American debut. Ahhh, I really hope she does well. I’m afraid though that if people don’t like her (HOW? DID YOU SEE THAT MV PREVIEW?), my dreams of converting more of my friends into Korean fangirls will fail. I’m looking forward to being randomly watching TV and seeing BoA show up…because I think that would AWESOME, even if it’s highly unlikely.
March should be a good month for fandom! What are you looking forward to? A new band, maybe, or a new song not mentioned (or mentioned, even) above?
